導演經歷：
畢業於國立台灣藝術大學電影系，首部劇情短片「女神」即成為華語電影圈備受矚目的電影，除獲得金穗獎最佳影片、攝影、美術等各項大獎，也獲選代表台灣參加法國福爾摩沙電影節，並拿下香港最大新導演華語電影獎的評審團大獎。
「女神」於2007年創下電影史上第一部由發行商發行全國DVD的學生電影，發行首月即獲「誠品書店推薦選片」，全國放映巡迴邀約不斷長達兩年，「女神」至今長銷誠品、博客來與全國各大人文書店。
影片簡介：
2004年，一個學生導演把原本要註冊的學費買了台破DV，為自己搞社會運動的老朋友拍了一堆生活和抗爭紀錄，他們關注的議題叫做「反高學費」。五年之後這些紀錄朋友們的「家庭錄影帶」竟累積成一部紀錄片。
片中的青年從20歲反到結婚生子，不再青春削瘦的他們，挺著小腹繼續抗爭。為社會運動出道十年，卻沒有人知道他們的名字。革命的年代已過，但革命「老青年」卻還沒死。日復一日的生活和抗爭，這群無名青年不是要爭那幾塊錢的學費，而是要爭台灣的未來要往哪裡走。
「粉墨登場」是吳星螢導演拍攝四年，後製兩年，總共花費六年時間，以人文精神為出發，紀錄台灣一群青年參與社會運動「反高學費」的生命故事，是全世界第一部探討高學費問題的專業紀錄片。
關於超齡演出：
吳星螢目前為專職電影導演與監製，設立「超齡演出電影公司」，製作一系列藝術與商業並重的影片，並以電影文創事業為目標，「粉墨登場」為「超齡演出」製作發行的第一部紀錄長片。
One day in 2004, a student director used her money to buy a low-tech DV instead of paying tuition fee to her college. With this DV, she recorded the lives of her old friends who engage in social movement along with procedures of their demonstrations. The subject of their demonstrations is: "against high tuition fees". Five years passed, these "home-made video tapes" intended only to record daily lives eventually turn out to be a documentary.
Those young guys appearing in the film are now married, and some of them even have children. They are no longer young and energetic; bearing their beer belly, they keep walking on the streets countering against high tuition fees. Spending ten years on social movement, still nobody knows who they are. Though the days for revolution have passed away, those "aged young guys" have not. Day after day, they struggle to live and counter; what they are trying to get is not the tuition fees they've paid, but a direction for Taiwan's future.
4 years for shooting, 2 years for production, "Create Something" is a film that costs Kilasme WU a total of 6 years. With a spirit of humanity, the film records a group of Taiwan young people who engage in social movement that "against high tuition fees", telling their life stories. This is the world's first professional film that discusses about the issue of high tuition fees.
